My Furry Friends!

Hello everyone! It definitely feels like it has been forever since I've been on here. I haven't got much sewing done either :( I'm taking STNA classes and they are pretty much all day, then when I get home I have homework. I haven't had much time for anything! Along with those, I've had a couple furry friends that have stolen my free time! =) They have ants in their pants with this nice weather I think. As you can see from the pictures, they are absolutely adorable! Let me know what you think :)

This is Emma. She is about 6 months old, and LOVES to pull out embarrassing clothing items from your room and bring them into the living room where everyone is usually sitting. She's hard to get mad at though. She has the cutest face!

This is Slush, our kitty. He's not really a kitty anymore I guess. He's a big boy now! He kind of has the personality of a dog. He loves to go on walks with Emma, but only when she isn't chasing him. He also LOVES to hunt which is good!

I promise I'll have  pictures of sewing projects posted again soon. I have an order for a purse, and then 5 custom made wristlets for a bride who is using them for bridesmaids gifts! I'm so excited to start on them because I know they are going to be so cute! I can picture them in my head. I'll post pictures of them sometime soon once I get started on each order. I'm hoping this weekend I'll have more free time and be able to get back into sewing mode =)

Thanks for stopping by!

I know I wanna sew!

Well I'm back from my wonderful spring break in Gatlinburg! I have been looking forward to being able to update my blog and post pictures of things I've been working on. Spring break was amazing though, it was so refreshing and a nice vacation. I loved it there and I have some wonderful pictures that I'll post towards the end of the blog . I have to admit I did miss sewing a little though because there were purse stores EVERYWHERE. I definitely caught up on it when I got home though because my brother's fiance and I stayed up until 3 in the morning sewing last night! Then when we got up we went to Jo Ann's and then sewed some more! It was so much fun! Especially around 2 AM when we started to get slap happy  :) Here's a picture of us before we had fabric and thread all over the table and floor:

I also finished up the wristlets that were ordered too! I was so excited to post them on here because I think they turned out very cute! I think they would be great for a quick trip out to carry your essentials, or even something dressier like a night out or a wedding. Let me know what you think :) You can also check out my Etsy shop to see more pictures like the insides of them or close up views.

When we were in Tennessee we did so many fun things and I'm still full from all the good food we ate. I'm not sure if anyone who has visited there has went to the Dixie Stampede, but I think that was my favorite thing! It's a dinner theater and the entertainment was so much fun! They got the audience involved several times and showed people doing tricks on horses and things like that. I don't have any pictures of it because we weren't allowed :( Here are just a couple of the pictures I did take though!

It was gorgeous there and there were tons of places with amazing views. I have so many pictures of scenery and views from high up because I was amazed at how beautiful everything was.

Thanks for stopping by and looking around! Make sure to add me as a follower if you want to keep updated on what kinds of things I'm sewing. I just bought tons more fabric to make some more purses and I'm hoping to get them done and post pictures on here and Etsy soon. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know which is your favorite wristlet!

Spring Break! Two Days til' I'm off to Gatlinburg, TN :)

Sorry it's been forever since I posted. I have been busy organizing all my stuff that I'm moving home, and I have A LOT of stuff :) Mainly just clothes, but a girl can never have to many clothes :) Here's a pic of my room while I was in the moving process. It was hard to get motivated to unpack and organize all of this.
There were even more boxes in the hallway that were FULL of things!! I don't like to throw anything away usually. My mom helped me and I made her break some things just so I had to throw them away. I must say my room looks much better now :)
I'm planning on doing some decorating to match so I'll post pictures to show you the completed project!

Even though I've been busy with all of this, I haven't stopped sewing! Here is my latest purse order made for a friend. She wanted a summer purse and I think it turned out as exactly that! I love the bright summer prints and she was so excited because she could wear it with so many outfits!
I think the wooden button goes perfectly with the prints and colors on the purse and really goes with the Summer theme.

I also have an order for five wristlets I'm working on right now. They are so much fun to make!! I've had so much fun picking out cute fabrics and colors to go together!! Here's the first one I have finished. What do you think??

I love how the decorative ribbon sparkles. I think it really makes the contrast of the turquoise and black look good! I'll keep you updated on the next four I make.

I'm leaving for Gatlinburg, TN on Monday so I won't be on here for awhile but I would love to come back to your comments on what you think about the purse and wristlet!! Thanks for stopping in! :)

Spring is in the Air!!!!

Hello everyone!! I'm in the process of moving from my apartment near my college back to my hometown. I'm finishing up a degree in Psychology and I'm moving on to a degree in Nursing at a school that is a little closer to home. I'm very excited! Between all the packing and studying for exams, I just thought I would give you a peek at what I've been up to. Here is the other coordinating coin purse to go with the turquoise and brown purse I made earlier! I love the zipper on it, perfect for holding all the essentials like credit cards and loose change!

I just had to show off my business card with this photo. It's perfect! Here's a close up of one of them.

And I also have been going crazy with wristlets!!! They are my new found love to design and sew. Here is the first one I made. I got the idea around 8:00PM the other night for this one. I went to the fabric store and a little later I had this. What do you think????

I'm so excited because it matches the skirt I bought for Easter perfectly! It's the perfect size for carrying my camera, iphone, money, and credit cardsI love the Damask pattern on the fabric and I also wanted to give it an extra touch so I zig zag stitched the ribbon across the front.

Well there are my latest creations. You can check out the wristlet in my Etsy store. I hope you let me know what you think of them!

Fabric Frenzy

I just had to share this cute little coin purse that was made to match the purse in my last post. This one is going in an order to someone who requested the purse.

The inside of it matches the purse too! It closes with a magnetic snap and it's the perfect size for holding credit cards in. You can put the ones you use the most in here and have easy access to them when needed!

I'm in the process of making another coin purse to coordinate with the purse so check back to see it!

Other than the coin/credit card purse, I have also been wandering around fabric shops! :) Hehe. I could spend hours picking out coordinating fabrics and imagining what they could be together. Here is my latest purchase. I absolutely love the spring colors and how well they coordinate. I can't wait to see them sewn together and finished. Check back to see the finished purses soon!

Think Spring Purse!

I am loving every minute of this weather! I got to take a run outside every day this week and it's sooo much better then running on the treadmill. It goes a lot quicker!

I started and finished the purse for my mom on Wednesday. It was really nice to be able to sew next to my open window and not see snow! It turned out to be really cute. The colors are perfect for Spring!! Its bigger then the other one like it, and also has more pockets on the inside.

I used the same button I used on the other purse and it turned out to match this one really well too. Here's the inside of the purse. I was hoping it would be easier to keep things organized with these big pockets all along the inside of the purse.

So there's my latest project! It was a lot of fun making because I got to alter the pattern to make it bigger then the last purse. Sometimes that can be a challenge but it's always fun to experiment like that. I would love for you to leave comments and let me know what you think :) Have a great day everyone!

My past purse creations!

So this is my first blog post that includes pictures! I hope if you enjoyed looking at it you'll follow me and leave comments so I can get as many suggestions and thoughts from everyone as possible. I would love your opinions! Thanks so much for looking :)

Here are pictures are some of the purses I have made for people before I created this blog. I apologize some of the pictures aren't very clear or detailed, but I had no idea I would be putting them online when I took them.

These were the first two medium sized quilted purses I made. I thought the black and brown one was neat because you hardly would ever have to change your purse when you changed outfits. It'd match black and brown, best of both worlds! The second one I made was for someone whose favorite color was light green. You can't see it too well in the picture, but I promise it's that color! I don't have pictures of the insides but the purse closes with a magnetic snap, and I added pockets with magnetic snaps too.

This purse was fun to make! I perfected the magnetic snaps with this one and I thought the khaki and green colors looked cute together.

I was SOOO excited about this purse because I added a zipper in it and it worked perfectly!! It also made me think spring, which was much needed because I was making it while I was snowed in!

I loved the colors of this quilted purse. I'm a total fan of blue and brown together!!

My latest creation! This is an example of a medium sized purse made of different colored cotton materials. I kind of altered this one from a pattern I found online. I thought the colors looked super cute together and you could wear it with so much! You can't see it to well in the picture but there is gold accents in the material that match the button on the front. I thought using the antique button would be a fun way to add some decor to the purse, as well as keep it closed :)

I actually took a picture of the inside on this one! There are two pockets that match the exterior that can fit your keys, cell phone, lip gloss, etc.

My first post!

Creating this blog is so exciting! It seems like all the options are overwhelming at first, but it's so much fun customizing it. It might take me awhile to figure everything out completely, but hopefully with time I'll get it :)

Today I got some fabric to make my mom a purse. I'm so excited to start on it Wednesday that I wish Tuesday would fly by already. I'll definitely be posting some pictures of it as well as other purses I have already made on here as soon as I figure out how (haha).
